Miss United States 2009
Erin Grizzle
Erin Grizzle, Miss United States 2009, is originally from Ellijay, Georgia and currently resides in Atlanta. Erin is a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in both public relations and political science. Following graduation, Erin worked in the political arena, first as an assistant campaign manager, then as legislative aide to a State Senator. She has also worked in the Georgia Governor’s Office.
In 2008, Erin completed her MBA and a Master’s Certificate in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology. While at Georgia Tech, Erin was one of 40 U.S. MBA students selected to participate in the Canadian Leadership Program in Ottowa. Following graduation, Erin began her career as a business consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, a Fortune 500 company, where she is currently employed.
In her spare time, Erin enjoys dance, working out and tennis. She also serves as the President of the Xi Delta Alumni Association.
As Miss United States, Erin has chosen Youth Mentoring: Empowering America’s Future as her platform. Serving as a mentor herself for nine years, and working with six different mentoring organizations, Erin has a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges and rewards associated with mentoring. Erin was recognized by the Georgia General Assembly in 2005 for her service to the state as a mentor. She looks forward to continuing her work in this area as Miss United States.
